Vertical Inc. Giveaway Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in my latest giveaway – there were plenty of great responses, and they have all made me very excited for 2013.

However, there can only be so many winners – so onward to the results!

Limit, Vol. 1Johanna Draper-Carlson, a noted manga critic and vocal member of the blogging community, won the Limit package, saying this:

I’d be interested in winning Limit, and I’m most looking forward to the conclusion (v2) of Message to Adolf.

Notable for her general dislike of Tezuka manga, this is big news. Johanna, I’m hoping that volumes 1 and 2 of Limit will give you something else to look forward to in 2013 from Vertical.

J.R. Brown is the winner of the 5 Centimeters per Second package, and like me is looking forward to some of Vertical’s josei titles in 2013:

My most-anticipated Vertical title of 2013 is probably Utsubora; I like Nakamura’s art and I’ve enjoyed those of her BL titles we’ve gotten so far. I’m also looking forwards to Helter Skelter, the “mystery TBA josei title”, and the end of ParaKiss.

As I noted, according to Ed Chavez at Vertical, there are 2 josei titles that will be announced first quarter 2013, so I’m excited for all josei, known and unkown.

Heroman, Vol. 1Finally, WanderingDreamer is the winner of the first volume of Heroman.

Well, I’ve read a bit of the original Paradise Kiss and Adolf runs but haven’t had a chance to read past the first volume or so so I’m really hoping I can find time to get Vertical’s rereleases of the series.

The reproduction of Adolf is absolutely stunning, and Paradise Kiss also looks fantastic, although I haven’t had the chance to read either in their entirety yet.

Winners, please contact me via email or Twitter with your mailing information and I will ship your prizes out.

Everyone else, keep an eye out for more giveaways in 2013!
